Morning Walk

At the beginning of 2026, I started going on a walk almost every morning around the edge of Fort Mason, where I get a glimpse of the sun rising over Aquatic Park, throwing glimmering light at the ripples of the brave cold-water swimmers. Most days, after rounding the bend, the iconic Golden Gate Bridge comes into view. I have so enjoyed seeing the flowers bloom and change and just seeing what I notice when I slow down and observe. (You will find me signaling my "local" status with a ceramic mug with an Americano).

Oh and the birds! I rerouted the walk to go under a massive tree in Fort Mason park, but have only seen the parrots of SF once.
